Braxton Lost First Tooth

September 6, 2010 Braxton lost his first Tooth! He was so excited to see what the tooth fairy would bring him. But, not excited enough for us to pull it sooner, he waited for about a week for the tooth to just fall out on its own.

My First Quilt

The last couple of months I have been working on learning to sew. While I was at it I decided to try to make a rag quilt and this is how it turned out. I absolutely love it. It has some flaws that I have noticed but over all I don't think I done to bad.

Since our Donut Falls Hike went so well we decided to try another hike with our friends. This time we decided to hike Catherine's Pass up Little Cottonwood Canyon. Elias and Brayton

Climbing Higher Award

Braxton's First Day of 1st Grade, July 27, 2010.
By August 25th he had already earned a Climbing Higher Award for doing excellent work on his Math Whiz book.

This is Brax and his Pricipal after he received his very special award.

My cousin Sammy is getting married so we had a Bridal Shower to attend in July. It was great to get to see her. Good Luck Sam I hope you have a very happy marriage!

After the Parade and the Fish Rodeo in Marysvale we went to the Lake with Grandma and Papa we had such an eventful 24th.

Learning to Sew

In the middle of July I decided that I wanted to learn how to sew baby dresses. So, I made this cute little dress for Layna along with the headband. Not the flower of course. I am in the process of making some more difficult ones. I have found that I really enjoy sewing. I am sure there will be more projects to come that I will want to show off!

Donut Falls Hike 2

Me and the kids had such a good time on the Donut Falls hike that we decided to go again to take Daddy and our friends the Garner's. Here is a picture of the cave we got to go in that was at the top of the waterfall.

Donut Falls Hike

On the 6th of July we went hiking with our friend Elias up Big Cottonwood Canyon to Donut Falls. Braxton and Elias were brave enough to hike up the waterfall to the top. They found the secret cave, with the water at a low level this time of year they were able to go inside the cave.

Brayton was a little scared on this part of the hike so Elias had to help him out. Thanks Elias for taking us hiking:)

Layna Sits

On the 3rd of July, the same day as all the 4th of July festivities this year. Layna learned to sit unsupported with the help of her little friend Orion, it was so cute I can not believe she is growing up so fast!

We just had to have a picture of all the kids at the fireworks that evening. Some of them were not so happy about having picture time instead of playing with sparklers!

Happy 4th of July

To start off our 4th of July Celebration we went to the Carnival at the Veterans Memorial Park in West Jordan with Papa and Grandma. After lunch they had to head back home so we went to fireworks at the park with some of our friends. It was such a wonderful day!
